Complex Cases Minn. Gen. R. Prac. 113 and 146
From MN Bench Book - Trial Procedures & Practices for Judges
These rules establish a Complex Case Program in an effort to promote efficient judicial management of complex cases in the district courts, avoid unnecessary burdens on the court, keep costs reasonable, and enable effective decision making by the court. Cases designated Complex Cases will include cases with multiple parties, multiple witnesses, and/or a significant amount of documentary evidence. Such cases may include construction defect, products liability and mass tort cases. Complex Cases will be assigned to a single judge within 30 days of filing.
