FOUNDATION OBJECTION SUSTAINED OFFER’S RESPONSE
From MN Bench Book - Trial Procedures & Practices for Judges
When a foundation objection is sustained the offerer can ask the objector where specifically the foundation is lacking and the objector must indicate or articulate where the foundation is lacking. The purpose of requiring objecting counsel to specify the ground or grounds of his objection ……..is not merely to enable the court to rule intelligently thereon but also to afford opposing counsel an opportunity to amend and overcome the defect in his question if possible.
